The Commission of, Catholic Justice and Peace Department (CJPD) had the privilege of engaging the Christian faithful in a powerful Lenten Campaign sensitization, at Adu Parish in Marafa Denary,  Under this year’s theme, "The Kenya We Desire," five critical topics were explored for shaping our society:

1. *The Family*–Strengthening the foundation of moral and social values.
2. Corruption – A call to integrity and ethical leadership.
3. The Youth – Empowering the next generation for a just and peaceful Kenya.
4. Holistic Education – Nurturing minds, hearts, and character.
5. The Care of Our Common Home – Embracing our duty as stewards of creation.

The engagement was not just informative but transformative. We witnessed a deep hunger for change among the faithful a readiness to be part of the Kenya we desire. Their eagerness to take action, coupled with their spiritual commitment to fasting, prayer, and almsgiving, reflected a true Lenten spirit.

This session was a reminder that change begins with each of us. As we journey through Lent, may our sacrifices and actions not only transform our hearts but also our communities and our nation.

The Lenten Campaign is important because it offers an opportunity for spiritual growth, fosters a deeper connection with God, encourages acts of charity and social justice, and prepares individuals and communities for the celebration of Easter. It is a season for reflection, self-discipline, and renewal.
