Bishop Willybard Lagho Visits Diocesan Projects in Malindi on 17-06-2024
On June 17, 2024, Bishop Willybard Lagho inspected various ongoing diocesan projects in Malindi.
The bishop inspected the ongoing renovation of the former boys’ dormitory, which will house the bishop’s office once complete. He also visited the nearly completed *St. Joseph Katsangani Catholic Church*, expressing his satisfaction with the progress. The bishop stated, "The church will reduce the walking distances for parishioners."
Bishop Lagho was pleased with the work progress at *St. Joseph Katsangani Catholic Church*. The contractor assured him that the construction would be completed by October. The bishop extended his gratitude to the supporters of the project.
At Bishop Francis Baldacchino School, Bishop Lagho met the headteacher, Mr. Francis Mwachilungo, who spoke about the preparations for hosting a Junior Secondary school.
Additionally, the bishop visited a 5-acres cassava plantation at Majivuni Prison, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the financial sustainability of the diocese.
