Marianist Technical Institute opened a new branch at the Secretariat of the Catholic Diocese of Malindi on 5th July 2023.
The Technical school is one of numerous projects of Marianist East Africa and has been on the service for 25 years. Marianist Technical Institute now has 3 branches, one in Bombolulu in Mombasa, Ukunda and the newest, in Malindi.
His Excellency the Bishop of Catholic Bishop wa Malindi, Willybard Lagho celebrated the Holy Mass thereafter ushering the transition from Motolese Vocational Institute which was under the Catholic Diocese of Malindi.
Fr. Gabriel is the region superior is among the first teachers of the Marianist Training Institute since it was established 25 years ago. "I was among the first teachers at MTI 25 years ago. I joined the Institute when it was only 3 months old." Fr. Gabriel conclude happily.
Sistet Agatha who was Principal of Motolese Vocational Training Institute will be in charge of the Marianist Training Institute and she could not hide her joy during her hand over speech." We have prepared our students for thos transition and we are going to collaborate with the Marianist Technical Institute." Said Sr. Agatha. She further thanked the Bishop of Malindi Catholic Diocese, His Excellency Bishop Willybard for granting her such an honour to lead Motolese for a year and few months.
Fr. Steve who is the Marianist regional superior poured his gratitude to Hos Excellency Bishop Willybard Lagho of Catholic Diocese of Malindi. "I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Catholic Diocese of Malindi management led by the Bishop, His Excellency Willybard Lagho for giving us this opportunity. I want to assure you that this will be the journey to greatness." Conclude Fr. Steve.
